For the 2023 edition of Fête de la Musique, neighbourhood residents, students, artists and visitors improvise themselves as musicians thanks to “DIY” techniques: recycled instruments, experimental sound effects and other savage soundscapes. With workshops for all ages from May, ahead of a participatory grand final on Sunday June 25.
PROGRAMMA 25/06/23
15:00 - Concerts in the streets of les Marolles
Wild percussion on salvaged objects, DIY brass bands, musical objects and fiery dancing! Search and find BRUiTAL, the Orchester de casseroles by AXOSO, Touques & Saksin and Le Rhythm of Fourmis scattered around the neighbourhood.
16:00 - Participatory Grand Final
The groups meet on the Place du Jeu de Balle for a grand finale with the participants of the various workshops and guest artists such as Atelier Léon or SPAAK.
17:00 - The wolf of the Zinneke Parade makes its entrance and takes us to other festive horizons. Follow him if you dare!
Free workshops took place in May and June, where you could learn how to build your own instrument, discover how to play homemade percussion and wind instruments or express your energy through dance and movement.
A coproduction by Centre Culturel Bruegel and MetX in collaboration with Les Mercredis Artistiques, MUS-E, l'AXOSO, Some Music, Atelier Léon, De Batterij, Zinneke and Contrat de quartier Marolles. Featuring Michel Kazungu, Maxime Lacôme, Seppe Baeyens, Ilaria Orlandini, Guillaume Gagneur, Jo Zanders, Vital Schraenen and many more artists!
