At the end of June, our multidisciplinary fanfare Bazzaria performed during the theater production KEIKOP. Together with the BRODER choir, they played, danced, and sang the story of a cheeky Brussels cobblestone. This child-friendly oratorio, somewhere between a concert and a musical, took place on June 28-29-30 in Bronks.
After an earlier collaboration with his choir Stemmer as part of Singing Brussels 2022, composer Peter Spaepen and MetX crossed paths again. This time for the musical accompaniment of KEIKOP, the latest production by Spaepen's choir BRODER.
Composer-saxophonist Karen van Schaik, percussionist Bodé Owa, and choreographers Fanny Brouyaux and Ilaria Orlandini from Bazzaria formed a creative team with Spaepen, writer-performer Vanessa Daniëls, singer Ulrieke Storme, and writer-director Koen Boesman for the occasion.
