A story of solidarity told by 50 dancers from Brussels and 10 MetX musicians. This is how MolenFest describes the performance Few Days Before Tomorrow, which will take place from 3 to 6/09 on the Place Communale in Molenbeek. For four consecutive evenings, artists and residents will take over the public space with sound and movement. They will raise questions about territory, generations, communities, power relations and legitimacy.

At the beginning of this year, Serge Aimé Coulibaly and his Faso Danse Théâtre began setting up a participatory project with artists, organisations and residents of Brussels. During a series of meetings, workshops and rehearsals, they created several group choreographies together. Coulibaly has already led similar projects in Ostend, Tunis and Ouagadougou.

For the music, he approached MetX, after which Jo Zanders formed a collective under the name UrBand Sellex. The line-up includes Laïla Amezian, Katrien Bos, Isaac Kobena Bedu, Vital Schraenen, Laurens Vandevenne and several other musicians from the percussion group DROM.

Together with 50 dancers, they immerse the audience in a captivating musical universe, blending urban music, mystical melodies and landscapes, noise sounds and trance-inspired rhythms. A future-proof soundtrack crafted from DIY instruments, at the crossroads of sound experimentation and the raw energy of urban percussion.
