Strak-X

Loud, proud and going places! Strak-X is a new percussion band founded by a dozen youngsters who have already proved themselves with the Fanfakids. Together, they create an original, hyperkinetic repertoire perfect for festivals, block parties and pop up performances in public spaces.

Loud, proud and going places! Strak-X is a new percussion band founded by a dozen youngsters who have already proved themselves with the Fanfakids. Together, they create an original, hyperkinetic repertoire perfect for festivals, block parties and pop up performances in public spaces. They blend African, Latin American and Caribbean rhythms with tight grooves and other musical influences from the metropolitan neighborhoods in which they grew up.

After a first series of concerts in 2024 at amongst others Festival Bruxelles Babel, KortRijk Aan Culturen and Bombaclat, a new batch of teenagers led by former Fanfakids Prince Folowosele and Manu Paulo Cristo is performing again since the autumn of 2025.
