The Fanfakids celebrate their 25 years! Created during the very first Zinneke Parade in 2000, the group has since made a name for itself far beyond the country's borders as a fully-fledged urban education project, seamlessly blending into an artistic production.
In collaboration with Urban Center Brussel, public schools and other partners, the Fanfakids continuously expand their functioning: more children can join the courses, which have been extended to breakdance, and different generations educate each other. Ever since the creation of the project, MetX has been the main partner for production, booking and artistic coordination.
Over the years, they have also created a close bond with various drum, dance and theater groups from Africa (Guinea, Ghana) and Europe (Grenoble, Rotterdam, Bologna and others via Erasmus+). Together, they regularly participate in exchange programs.
Their smiles and energy are always disarming, feel free to call them international youth ambassadors of Brussels!
